Happy Pork
Our homegrown pork is of excellent quality and taste. We get piglets in the spring. We raise them on an antibiotic free diet (unless medically indicated) of ground grain plus surplus milk from our goats and cow, which makes for tasty pork. The pigs are now pastured and can root around in the dirt or relax in the shade. In the fall, a large portion of their diet comes from foraging for acorns, walnuts, chestnuts and hickory nuts in the woods.
