1940 Ford 9N

In 2005 we gained a new neighbor, who found this tractor hidden in a clump of trees next to his house. My son (Nick) and I cut down the trees, one of which had grown between the rear fender and brake pedal, and hauled the rusty tractor into the barn.

We removed the head to unstick the motor.

Once the motor was unstuck, Nick went to work grinding new valves.

We were able to get a coat of primer on before winter set in.

Dr. Mears goes for a test drive.

A little more paint and re-assembly and we are almost ready for the parade.

Finished and ready for work after taking second prize in the Kingsville 4th of July Parade.
